Klar is built around a simple promise: your quit-smoking journey is yours alone, and nothing about it leaves your phone unless you choose to share it.
Nothing. Klar does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on any server. There are no accounts, no logins, no analytics, and no advertising identifiers.
The information you enter during onboarding — your name (optional), daily cigarette count, pack price, currency, quit date, language preference — is saved locally on your device using iOS's secure storage (AsyncStorage). It never leaves your phone.
If you enable notifications, Klar schedules them locally through iOS. The notification content is generated on your device; no server is contacted.
The "Share" feature creates an image on your device and offers it to iOS's share sheet. What you do with that image — text, social media, AirDrop — is your choice and outside Klar's control.
The "Back up my data" option in Settings copies your profile as JSON to your clipboard. From there, where you save or send it is entirely up to you.
Klar is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.
If we ever change how Klar handles data, we will update this page and bump the date above. The next app version will reflect any new behavior.
